Wayne went out into the streets to blend in with an angry mob surrounding a Survivorist priest, but Bleeder used a syringe to reveal the priest as a kandra. Someone in the crowd recognized Wayne, and he was forced to flee the scene.{{book ref|sos|20}} Upon returning to Innate’s manor, he heard Innate speaking and realized that the accent was off, revealing that he was Bleeder. {{book ref|sos|21}} Wayne investigated but got too close to the window, and Bleeder spotted him.
