In [[Alethkar]], it was tradition at any banquet of the king to also feed the less fortunate. The Feast was held in a separate room in which any poor people may attend and eat the same as a the king and his guests.
 
[[Szeth]] walked through the Beggar's Feast on his way to assassinate [[Gavilar]].{{book ref|b|sa1|prologue}} While there, he witnessed a seemingly drunken old beggar speaking gibberish. This is speculated to have been a [[Herald]], most commonly [[Ishar]].
 
The Beggars' Feast is canceled by [[Aesudan Kholin|Queen Aesudan]] during the [[War of Reckoning]].{{book ref|b|sa2|i|12}}
