Brightness Danlan Morakotha was an Alethi woman who courted Adolin Kholin on the Shattered Plains during the War of Reckoning.[1]

Appearance & Personality

Danlan was extremely pretty, she had a graceful figure with a long neck and her hair had more foreign auburn stripes then black Alethi stripes.[2]

Danlan was an extremely intelligent woman[3] but she often acted less clever then she really was, in an attempt at humility.[2] Danlan's voice had a breathy and husky tone.[1] Danlan was also quite fond of avramelons,[3] and enjoyed drinking wine, whose color she often coordinated with her outfit.[2]

Danlan was well informed on the politics among the highprinces, able to avidly discuss Torol Sadeas's motivations in his interactions with Dalinar Kholin and whether or not Dalinar should step down as highprince.[2] She wished that Dalinar would relax his restriction on his camp following the Alethi Codes of War.

History

Danlan had traveled to the Shattered Plains to spend a few months with her father, Brightlord Morakotha.[1] The next day, she was already calling on Adolin. He arranged for her to become one of his father's clerks, managing his calls via spanreeds and serving as a scribe.

Danalan is part of Graves's plot to kill the king and replace him with Dalinar. It can be assumed that she is a member of the Diagram.

Adolin is quite fond of Danlan and committed to making their relationship last.[2] Their relationship unlike Adolin's other romantic relationships was broken off by Adolin and not Danlan. (Citation needed)
