Leky stick is a sport invented in the nation of Svorden in Sel. Although Svorden is annexed by the Fjordell Empire,[1] the sport is still played in multiple nations on Sel in the Late Era.[2]
Leky stick's popularity is such that it expanded from Sycla to the Northern Continent; it is King Eventeo of Teod's favorite sport.[3] He nicknamed his daughter Sarene "leky stick" as a child because she was so tall and thin, just like the pole that marked the goal line.[3] Eventeo later explains the nickname to Raoden, who finds it hilarious and uses it constantly to tease Sarene.[4]
