Aona was the original Vessel of the Shard Devotion.[1] She had eventually come to inhabit Sel.
She was killed by Odium,[2] millennia before the setting of the Stormlight Archive.[3] In doing so he splintered her and left the Aons at the centre of the Seons as splinters of Devotion.[4]
