Aona was a Shardholder on Sel. Presumed to be female, it is not clear which Shard she holds.
Before the events of Elantris, both her and Skai were killed by Rayse and the Shards that she held was Splintered.
Mentions
The only time the name Aona has appeared in the Canonical Cosmere books so far is in the Part 2 epigraphs of The Way of Kings, where we are told that they are dead.
Due to the correlation of names, it seems likely that Aona is the holder of the Shard related to Aon Dor.
Shard's Intent
It is not clear what her Shard's name or Intent is. When asked on Twitter, Brandon said it is a synonym of Compassion[citation needed].
