Skai is a Shardholder from Sel. Before the events of Elantris, Skai was killed by Rayse, and the Shard he held Splintered. There is only one instance of the word Skai in all of the Canonical Cosmere books. It occurs in the part two epigraphs of The Way of Kings. However, the word "Skaze" appears one time in Elantris, and it seems likely that this word is derived from Skai.
