It seems he spends a lot of his time dejected responding mostly in grunts.
In [[The Hope of Elantris]] he is seen at one point throwing pebbles toward a slug.
He also helps lead the children under [[Matisse]]'s care to safety when New Elantris is attacked by [[Fjordell]] soldiers.
