After the failed rebellion Vahr was taken in for questioning. Hearing of Vahr's arrest [[Vasher]] saw he had a chance to get another large influx of breath and so set out to contact him. By this time VaraTreledees had renamed themselves as Denth and began working for Bluefingers to help cause the war.{{wob ref|6723}} As part of these efforts he made contact with [[Lemex]], an Idrian spy, and made him assist the Pahn Kahl plot. Lemex grew increasingly reluctant and outspoken against the plot so Denth decided to kill him with poison.{{wob ref|6795}} At the same time Vivenna decided to hold a 'rescue mission' for Siri and headed to T'Telir herself, a message from her intended for Lemex was intercepted by Denth and his crew and they decided to go meet with her. He managed to gain her trust and convinced her that Lemex was dying due to disease, he was successful enough that he managed to kidnap her without her realising it.
