Redin is an illegitimate son of Valam. He purportedly acts as Valam's assassin and executioner.[1]

Appearance

He has heterochromatic eyes, one 'intense' blue, the other dark brown. This added to his confused social standing.[1]

History

He visits Davar mansion while Lin Davar is entertaining Tavinar, and questions Lin about the circumstances of his first wife's death. He also announces a request for witnesses to come forward after getting nowhere with Lin.

He was present at Valam's deathbed, standing guard over the newly-crowned king. Valam eventually asks Redin to stab him through the heart after announcing Taravangian's succession to the Jah Keved throne.[2]
