Redin is an illegitimate son of Valam. He purportedly acts as Valam's assassin and executioner.[1]
Appearance
He has heterochromatic eyes, one 'intense' blue, the other dark brown. This added to his confused social standing.[1]
History
He visits Davar mansion while Lin Davar is entertaining Tavinar, and questions Lin about the circumstances of his first wife's death. He also announces a request for witnesses to come forward after getting nowhere with Lin.
He was present at Valam's deathbed, standing guard over the newly-crowned king. Valam eventually asks Redin to stab through the heart after announcing Taravangian's succession to the Jah Keved throne.[2]
