After his visit to the cavern world, he appearedskipped onto a planet known as [[Canticle]]. Soon after he awoke he was spotted by two government officials, they tried speaking to him but he couldn’t understand them. Eventually they decided to simply chain him down with the rest, leaving him to die in the sunlight. Nomad resisted them, trying to fight them. Unfortunately his torment prevented him from touching them, and the action drew the attention of a [[Charred]]. He and Nomad fought, but eventually Nomad was overwhelmed when a second Charred showed up. After taking a hit to his side Nomad was left dazed, and the government officials chained him to the ground.{{book ref|TSM|1}}
