Soulcasting was a form of Surgebinding on Roshar.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content

It was possible to to be a Soulcaster without a fabrial, supposedly through bonding with a specific type of spren. Two orders of the Knights Radiant had inherent soulcasting ability.[citation needed]

There was also a type of fabrial that allowed anyone to soulcast. The fabrials themselves were considered holy objects, used only by Ardents.
