They come in many different varieties each associated with and named for their own phenomenon. They will always swarm around whatever attracts them. The causal link between Sprenspren and their associated phenomenon is poorly understood on Roshar, as it is widely believed that rotspren, attracted to a wound, actively cause an infection, whereas flamespren are held to be only attracted to fire.
