Hoid describing Tress.[1]

Glorf, known to most people as Tress, is a sprouter born on Lumar, on an island in the Emerald Sea called Diggen's Point.[1]

Appearance and Personality

Tress is thoughtful and kind, with a tendency for fixation that lead to a large collection of cups and a natural ability for sprouting. Tress's hair has been described as the color of wheat or honey, however she would prefer to call it light brown.[1]

Attributes and Abilities

Tress is a sprouter, meaning that she has a practiced ability to use and manipulate aether spores.

History

Early Life

Tress was born to a peasant family and washed windows for a meager living. She fell in love with the duke's son Charlie and escapes Diggen's Point to rescue him from the Sorceress when the king and Duke won't.

Leaving the Rock

Tress is captured and imprisoned by the crew of the smuggler ship Oot's Dream believing her to be an inspector.[2] She meets Huck and escapes across the Verdant Sea to the pirate ship Crow's Song.[3]

Crow's Song

Tress scrubs the deck of Crow's Song for her keep until she is promoted to sprouter because she doesn't fear the spores.[4]
