UTol is a planet inhabited by Sho Del in the UTol system of the cosmere.[2][1] The planet is somewhat noteworthy in the cosmere.[1]
The world forms a double planet system along with Komashi, and the pair orbit a large red-orange sun.[3][1] The planet itself is covered primarily by oceans, with relatively few land masses.[2] The Sho Del inhabitants are believed to live primarily on these oceans, in boats.[2] No radio waves were detected coming from the planet prior to contact with Komashi.[2]
It is unclear how Virtuosity's Splintering in the region may have affected the planet and its inhabitants.
From Komashi, the planet appears in the sky as a pale, soft blue star, and is the only celestial body whose light is able to penetrate the shroud.[4][5] Yumi considers the appearance of the "daystar" to be an encouraging omen from the hijo.[5]
