Loradar Vamah is a Highprince of Alethkar on Roshar.[1] The Vamah colors are brown and grey.[2][3]

Appearance and Personality

He is a round-faced balding man. He has short hair that sticks straight up, light grey eyes and is prone to squinting.[4] He regularly brings his own imported and exotic liquor to feasts and those who can impress him in conversation may be offered a taste.[5]

History

Loradar Vamah succeeds Kalanor as Highprince of the Vamah princedom shortly before the reunification of Alethkar. His support for Gavilar Kholin's quest for unification helped to gain his current position.[1]

His plateau assaults involves the strategic use of light cavalry.[5]

Vamah accompanied King Elhokar on the chasmfiend hunt along with highprinces Dalinar and Torol Sadeas. Of the four, Vamah was the only one who wasn't a Shardbearer.[6] Highprice Vamah was made fun of by Sadeas for wearing red and a bright orange.[3]

Vamah is known for his dislike of the King's Soulcasters tax, and is behind in his payments.[7] Dalinar and Sadeas collude to remind Vamah about his reliance on the King and his Soulcasters, after he begins complaining vocally within the war camps. Later, when conflict between Dalinar and Sadeas divides the highprinces, Vamah chooses to remain neutral.

He does not commit his army to the joint assault on the Parashendi and remains at the warcamp after the bulk of the Alethi force relocate to Urithiru.
