A Trailman's flute is used by storytellers to aid in the telling of their stories.

Hoid uses one to tell Kaladin the story of Derethil and the Wandersail.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content He then gives the flute to Kaladin, who then leaves it in the Bridge Four barracks in Sadeas warcamp, before it being presumably looted/destroyed during the Everstorm.
