After the Collapse, [[Ashweather Cett|Cett]] made it the capital of the Dominance, as the city's natural rock formations made it much more defensible than the more distant, original capital of the Western Dominance, [[Tremredaire]].
Fadrex contains one of the [[Lord Ruler]]'s supply caches. The city plays a key role in the events of ''[[The Hero of Ages]]'', surviving two sieges before ultimately being destroyed when the world was remade.
