In [[Shadesmar]], the perpendicularity likewise manifests as a column of light, with the surrounding soul-beads melting together, creating solid ground. The [[Fused]] have a violent reaction to its opening, being blasted away as if by wind. Notably, the same doesn't happen to either humans or spren.{{book ref|sa3|119}}

After the battle of Thaylen Field has [[Dalinar]] the ability to open Honor's Perpendicularity whenever he wants although it is tiring. It is unclear whether all Unchained Bondsmiths have this power. Szeth draws Nightblood inside of Dalinar's perpendicularity, forcing it closed. This does not permanently damage it, however.{{book ref|sa4|111}}
