May Aladar is the lighteyed daughter and the only known child of Highprince Aladar.[2]

Appearance

May Aladar is an Alethi lighteyes, meaning she has tan skin and epicanthic folds. She's a short woman roughly in her twenties, with jet-black, curly hair she wears short. Her eyes are pale yellow.[2]

History

May's father includes her in a lot of politically important events and meetings. She is present when Sadeas' dead body is found, and is later invited to Dalinar's and Navani's wedding.[2][3] Afterwards, she's part of Dalinar's diplomatic team alongside her father, Navani, Kalami and Teshav Khal, although during the negotiations, she is mostly an observer.[4]

Following the death of Vedekar Perel, May is sent by her father - by then, named the Highprince of Information - to question is family and associates.[5] As a result of her participation in the investigation, she later suggests implementing laws to limit movement around the tower.[6] She also participates in scientific discussions with scholars and ardents regarding the functioning of Urithiru.[7]

She is present when the news of Kholinar's fall arrives, and reacts to it with extreme nausea.[8]
