When [[Charles Calloway]] was kidnapped and Joel and Fitch went to investigate the crime scene, Melody was assigned to stay at Fitch's office and work on her tracings. However, she followed them to the scene, spying on them. She was caught, and interrogated by Inspector [[Harding]].
