Shin Kak Nish was one of the Silver Kingdoms of Roshar.[1] It bordered on the Silver Kingdoms Iri, Sela Tales and Makabakam.

It later became the country of Shinovar.[2]

The name Shin Kak Nish is a palindrome, in accordance with the other Silver Kingdoms. Kak may derive from Kalak, one of the ten Heralds of the Almighty, or the number 8.[3]

One of Dalinar's visions takes place with Nohadon planning to bake Shin loaf bread, and he claims to have learnt how to make it during a war near the Shin border.[4]
