The Sons of Honour have similar origins to the Diagram.{{wob ref|3399}} At some stagepoint the Envisagers formed as a splinter group of the Sons of Honour.{{wob ref|14534}}
 
The Sons of Honor existed before [[Gavilar Kholin]] joined their organization, but he helped to greatly expand their numbers and influence. At this time the ghostbloods began actively spying on her consideringdue to her status as an unknown element.{{book ref|sa3|22}} Ialai eventuallydecided namedto name Amaram as the new Highprince of house Sadeas.{{book ref|sa3|27}} EventuallyAt the orders of Dalinar Kholin Amaram and Sadeas troopsforces were moved to help clean up and secure Theylen city.{{book ref|sa3|96}} [[Odium]] used Amaram's beliefsfrustrations andat these orders as well as the truth about the [[Heralds]] to convince him to join Odium's forces. asWith wellthis aschange oneSadeas oftroops Sadeas'also armiesdefected.{{book ref|sa3|120}} After the battle of Thaylen Field Ialai became the leader of the Sons of Honour, due to the death of Gavilar and the actions of Amaram however there was littlekilled she could do to recoverduring the former power of the Sons of Honourbattle.{{book ref|sa4sa3|4}} The remaining members of the Sons of Homour command were assassinated.{{book ref|sa4|7}} Ialai spent the year trying to make contact with Restares again but was unsuccessful.{{book ref|sa4|13}} Mraize believed the Sons of Honour destroyed by this stage and gave Shallan a mission to locate Restares.{{book ref|sa4|13120}}
 
After the battle of Thaylen Field Ialai became the leader of the Sons of Honour, due to the humiliation of House Sadeas at the battle of Thaylen Field she moved back to the Shattered Plains.{{book ref|sa3|122}} She did what she could to regain the previous power of the Sons of Honor but due to the death of Gavilar and the actions taken during Amaram's leadership there was little she could do.{{book ref|sa4|4}} Ialai spent most of her time trying to get in contact with Restares and also began to investigate references she had heard before to the wider Cosmere.{{book ref|sa4|7}}{{book ref|sa4|9}} The Ghostbloods began a final push to eliminate the Sons of Honor and began by assassinating Thanadal despite his attempts to negoiate.{{book ref|sa4|7}} Seeing this Vamah attempted to flee the plains{{book ref|sa4|6}} but was also killed by the Ghostbloods.{{book ref|sa4|7}} Seeing these events Ialai decided to try and hide within her lands. This ultimately failed and she was assassinated by a [[Shallan Davar|Ghostblood agent]].{{book ref|sa4|7}} At this stage it was believed by Mraize that the Sons of Honor were destroyed. Following its destruction Shallan was given a mission to locate their ultimate and last surviving leader, Restares.{{book ref|sa4|13}}
