== History ==
The original founders of the Sons of Honor created the organisation based on religious grounds, aiming to restart the Desolations and thus, they hoped, mankind's former glory.{{book ref|sa3|88}}{{book ref|sa3|prologue}} The Envisagers formed as a splinter group of the Sons of Honor.{{wob ref|14534}} Eventually someone managed to recruit [[Gavilar Kholin]] and he quickly rose up the ranks of the organisation whilst greatly increasing their power and getting many new recruits, notably he is the individual who allowed Amaram to join their ranks.{{book ref|sa3|40}} Over time the new leaders of the organisation, Gavilar and Restares, developed their own goals and plans for the groups unrelated to their stated aim.{{book ref|sa4|7}}{{book ref|sa4|4}} Restares learned of Gavilar's plans and responded favourably ultimately leading to the both of them collaborating together.{{book ref|sa4|82}} To facilitate this the pair held many secret meetings with one another.{{book ref|sa2|prologue}}{{book ref|sa3|prologue}} Despite this apparent fondness however Gavilar still suspected Restares of being behind his assassination.{{book ref|sa1|prologue}}

Following the death of Gavilar the organisation went through changes. [[Taravangian]] decided to leave the organisation and the [[Diagram]] started in its place.{{wob ref|3399}} Restares and Amaram also made more frequent contact with each other, with Amaram seemingly taking over the role of Gavilar.{{book ref|sa4|4}} However unlike Gavilar Amaram lacked his own agenda and simply followed Restares orders, often even deferring to him for advice.{{book ref|sa2|52}}{{book ref|sa1|51}} One piece of this advice was to recommend that Amaram take the Shards [[Kaladin]] won and kill any witnesses, Amaram instead decided to spare and enslave Kaladin as a sign of his thanks instead.{{book ref|sa1|51}}

Before leaving to settle in Urithiru, Amaram recognized that the madman in Dalinar's warcamp was in fact [[Taln]] and went to recover him from his cell.{{book ref|sa2|88}} At this time he survived an assassination attempt by the Ghostbloods.{{book ref|sa2|88}}
DuringTwo members of the moveorganisation, highprinces [[Thanadal]] and [[Loradar Vamah|Vamah]] decided to stay at the warcamps.{{book ref|sa3|2}} Thanadal tookand Vamah seized the opportunity to create his own virtual kingdom in the area and push to control trade throughin the Shattered Plainsregion.{{book ref|sa3|104}} Vamah acted similarly.{{book ref|sa3|21}} Following the death of [[Torol Sadeas|Highprince Sadeas]] during the settling of Urithiru, Ialai took over from her husbands duties, she ultimately decided to name fellow member Amaram as the new acting highprince of House Sadeas.{{book ref|sa3|27}} At this time the Ghostbloods began actively spying on her, and her activities, due to her status as an unknown element.{{book ref|sa3|22}} Ialai decidedDue to namethe Amaramtensions asbetween thehouse newKholin highprinceand of Househouse Sadeas.{{book ref|sa3|27}}Dalinar AtKholin theordered orders of Dalinar Kholin,that Amaram and Sadeas forces were moved to help cleanclear up and secure [[Thaylen City]].{{book ref|sa3|96}} [[Odium]] usedsensed Amaram'sthe growing frustrations atof theseAmaram ordersand ashis welltroops asand began to manipulate him to their own ends, he used the truth about the [[Heralds]] to convincefinally himconvert Amaram to join Odium'shis forces. With this change, the Sadeas troops also defected.{{book ref|sa3|120}} Amaram was ultimately killed during the ensuing [[|Battle of Thaylen Field|battle]].{{book ref|sa3|120}}
AfterFollowing the [[Battle of Thaylen Field]],this House Sadeas was humiliated, and Ialai became the leader of the Sons of Honor. andShe sheimmediately moved back to the Shattered Plains.{{book ref|sa3|122}} She did what little she could to regain the previous power of the Sons of Honor but due tobetween the death of Gavilar and the actions taken duringunder Amaram's leadership, there was littlenothing that she could do.{{book ref|sa4|4}} Ialai spent most of her time trying to get in contact with Restares and also began to investigate references she had heard before to the wider [[cosmereCosmere]].{{book ref|sa4|7}}{{book ref|sa4|9}} TheSeeing their weakened state the Ghostbloods began a final push to eliminate the Sons of Honor and beganstarted the process by assassinating Thanadal despite his attempts to negotiate.{{book ref|sa4|7}} Seeing this, Vamah attempted to flee the Plains {{book ref|sa4|6}} but was also killed by the Ghostbloods.{{book ref|sa4|7}} SeeingIalai thesedecided eventsher Ialaibest decidedoption for her was to try and hide within her lands. This ultimatelyin the end failed and she was assassinated by a [[Shallan Davar|Ghostblood agent]].{{book ref|sa4|7}} AtWith thisher stagedeath it wasMraize believed by Mraize that the Sons of Honor were destroyed. Following its destruction, Shallan was given a mission to locate their ultimate and last surviving leader, Restares.{{book ref|sa4|13}}
