Barghest
Homeworld Earth (Frugal Wizard)

A barghest is a type of creature that served the Black Bear in his war against the Weswarans that culminated in the battle of Badon. In Sefawynn's telling, the barghests "came forth out of shadow and flame to his call"[1].

Trivia and speculation[edit]

In the folklore of real-world Britain, a barghest is a type of ghostly or supernatural dog. The barghests may therefore be the same as the Black Bear's "hounds" that "haunt the forests"[2].
