Chillfever is a malady on Scadrial that results from exposure to extreme cold. The term chillfever is used by the Southern Scadrians and primarily refers to the effects of cold on the mind, including confusion and feeling "hot" even while freezing to death.[1]

Several crewmembers of the Brunstell are afflicted by chillfever after being captured by the Set and taken into the mountains of the Seran Range. Jordis observes several people removing their clothing despite the cold, and she believes that they will soon be dead. She worries that she is experiencing a chillfever-induced vision when Allik first arrives to save the crew.[1]
