In the States of the Wode, Concept is the main defining trait of Machineborn's character, or possibly a catch-all word for the whole of the AI's character. Examples of Concept include Shale wearing his full-plate armor at all times, or chancellor Besk's cleverness[1].

Concepts can be hacked and rewritten, thereby altering personality of Machineborn, though it is implied to be somewhat difficult[1].
