During the course of Highprince Sadeas's investigations on the broken girth strap of Elhokar's horse, he interviewed Fin.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content Fin told him that he put the king's favorite saddle on his horse, but later, before the horse was taken to Dalinar Kholin's warcamp, he noticed that the saddle had been changed. This proved to be a crucial piece of evidence proving Dalinar's innocence in the attempt on Elhokar's life. Sadeas brought Fin himself to one of the king's feasts to give his testimony.
