Nightblood has no sense of gender assigned to itself. Vasher is responsible for originally assigning it male pronouns. It is fascinated by gender, and is still attempting to figure it out.{{reddit ref|books|2ytg2h|cpdfni3}}
It is of note that Szeth makes no mention of any sensation of nausea or lust for Nightblood upon encountering it.
