An individual with many powers, such as a [[Allomancy|Mistborn]] or Full [[Feruchemist]], may lose this added effect.{{wob ref|3959}} With so many powers, the individual powers effectively wash out any resonance. It is still possible for such people to have a resonance, but it would be much less pronounced.{{wob ref|12608}} Temporarily gaining additional powers, such as from the [[Bands of Mourning]], would not deprive someone of a resonance they previously had. Someone with one power who began using the Bands of Mourning might develop a resonance between their original power and the Bands.{{wob ref|9494}} It is possible for a Surgebinder with multiple [[Honorblade]]s/[[Nahel bond]]s to develop new abilities and resonances between surges that aren't normally combined.{{wob ref|14007}}

All orders of [[Knights Radiant]] have access to two Surges,{{book ref|sa3|part=ars}} and therefore each order has a resonance of their own.{{wob ref|1296}}{{wob ref|4889}} If a Radiant were to gain access to other Surges, either through an [[Honorblade]] or [[Nahel Bondbond|bonding]] to aanother different [[spren]], resonances can form frombetween Surges that wouldn't normally interacthave them.{{wob ref|14007}} Known [[Surgebinding]] resonances include:

* [[Windrunner]]s' resonance is an increased number of squires, more than any other order, and they are much more powerful.{{wob ref|915}}{{wob ref|6140}}

* [[Order of Lightweavers|Lightweavers]]' resonance is increased mnemonic ability.{{wob ref|6740}}{{epigraph ref|sa2|49}} For [[Shallan Davar]], this manifests as the ability to take a "Memory" of a scene, which she can recall at a later time with perfect accuracy; when she put it to paper as a painting or a sketch the Memory is completely removed from her mind.{{book ref|sa1|7}}{{wob ref|1424}} This is similar to the way an [[copper#Feruchemical Use|Archivist]] stores memories in their copperminds. There is a limit to how many Memories she can store at the same time.{{wob ref|3244}} Memories are tied to [[Spiritual Realm|Spiritual]] [[Connection]].{{wob ref|3249}} Lightweavers can experience light and color differently and may be able to minutely alter the mood of others.{{wob ref|11531}} It is also implied that they may be able to create a solid illusion by combining their Illumination surge and their Soulcasting.{{book ref|sa3|120}}{{wob ref|3625}}

[[Twinborn]], individuals who are both [[Ferring]]s and [[Misting]]s, also have resonances.{{book ref|mb5|part=ars}} [[Hemalurgy]] will usually not create resonances, but it is possible for it to happen.{{wob ref|12024}} Examples of resonances in the Metallic Arts include:

* [[Edgedancers]]' resonance may be the ability to communicate especially well.,{{wob ref|1524}} Thisas belief is derived from and Scholarsscholars considered the pre-[[Recreance]] Edgedancers "the most articulate and refined" of the Radiants,{{book ref|edgedancer|6}}{{epigraph ref|sa2|46}} and [[Lift]] is surprisinglyeasily skilled with spreakingable to thosespeak she does not formally share a language with, notablyand aunderstand quite opaque street slang in [[Yeddaw]].{{book ref|edgedancer|6}}
