Shiqua

A shiqua is an outfit worn in Tashikk.[1] The outfit is a single sheet, wrapped around the entirety of the wearer's body from head to toe, winding around arms and legs individually; sometimes also being wrapped back around the waist as a skirt.[2] The face covering can be pulled down.[3]

The shiqua has a religious purpose, to cover up the wearer's body from an entity named Nun Raylisi, the enemy of the god Tashi. In "home lands", it is considered less necessary to do so, because it is believed that Tashi protects them there.[3]
