Legends say that after consuming either the berry or the jam made form it, one will speak the truth till the next sunset. However it is know that the berries themselves are harmless and only the burning of the leafs and stalks has an effect on the people that breath in the smoke. The smoke of the Truthberryleafs and stalks can be intoxicating and cause euphoria. Peoples often gather to burn the leafs and stalks and eat the berrys.
