Ulaam is a kandra on Scadrial and later Lumar.[1][2] During his time on Lumar, he traveled as a companion of Hoid on the ship the Crow's Song, serving as the ship's doctor.[2] Ulaam, being a kandra freed from the control of Harmony, does not attempt to mimic humans or other animals, resulting in a unique personality, even among others of his kind.[3] Ulaam has a somewhat morbid sense of humor, often offering members of the Crow's Song various body parts.[4] It is unclear whether he would actually give away organs from his collection, or if he is only messing with people.
