The Valley was a mystical location on Roshar.

The Valley was located in the mountains that divide Emul and Greater Hexi. It was said that the Nightwatcher resided there, a powerful spren who is connected to the Old Magic.[1] Many people, even Alethi nobility went there to seek a boon and a curse from the Nightwatcher.[2]

... all save the Heralds themselves must dine with the Nightwatcher.

—Dalinar quoting from The Way of Kings[3]

The Valley is sheltered from highstorms because of the way the surrounding mountains are angled. It is described as having a very high amount of plant life, appearing almost completely impassable.[4]
