In the [[Cognitive Realm]], Wyndle is a proficient gardener of chairs.{{book ref|sa2.5|1}} His [[Physical Realm]] form is, like other Nahel spren, capable of exerting a small amount of force in the Physical. He uses this to open doors for Lift and do other such feats. Uniquely, Lift is capable of interacting with him in the Physical Realm, despite him not having enough substance there for such a thing to be possible under typical circumstances. Wyndle posits that this is because she is partially in the Cognitive Realm. She uses this ability to do things such as climb walls by having him form a ladder for her.{{book ref|sa2|i|9}}

Wyndle's [[Nahel bond|bond]] with Lift gives him sentience in the Physical Realm and grants Lift the Surges[[Surge]]s of [[Abrasion]] and [[Progression]].{{book ref|sa2.5|2}} This bond is strengthened as Lift swears additional ideals. For example, once Lift has sworn the Third Ideal of the Edgedancers, he gains the ability to become a physical, shape-shifting Shardblade.{{book ref|sa2.5|19}}

Wyndle was a gardener. He collected souls of chairs and grew them into grand crystals. He had various types of chairs, including some Winstels, a nice Shober, quite the collection of spoonbacks, and even a throne or two.{{cite}}

SheHe usesalso himtaught her to climb,use spythe andSurge useof regrowthProgression to grow plants in order to pop open doorsa window. SheDespite seemshaving totaught beher pullingto thingsuse outGrowth, whenhe didn't think her ready to learn Regrowth. Just as Lift was about to succeed in the robbery, [[Nale]], comeswhom Lift calls Darkness, came for her. InWyndle thecoached processher ofthrough takingan herescape attempt, theybut killLift theis thievingsoon partnerrecaptured. she[[Gawx]] hadis justcaptured met,by one of Nale's [[GawxSkybreaker]]s as leverage against her. The Skybreaker killed Gawx, angering Nale. Wyndle helped Lift isto ableescape a second time, but she doubled back to getsave Gawx. Wyndle told her about her power of Regrowth, although he was doubtful she can pull it off. When Lift got back to him, andshe healswore himher beforesecond heoath isand gonehealed Gawx. The Azish believebelieved that Gawx had performed athe miracle of Regrowth, and, maketalking this as a sign from the Kadasixes, made him Prime,. heHe "pardons"quickly pardoned Lift and Nale haswas forced to let her go.{{book ref|sa2|i|9}}

It is clear that Wyndle did not choose to bond with Lift but wasfeels askedobligated to.{{book ref|sa2|i|9}}because Atof the beginningRing's hedecision. He is somewhat frustrated withby her forunwillingness notto lettinglearn, himhowever, educatehe does care about her, as evidenced by his worry that she will become malnourished.{{citebook ref|sa2|i|9}}

Lift at first believe that he is a caught acaptured [[Voidbringer]] and calls him that. She tends to ignore him and ask him to shut up.{{book ref|sa2.5|1}}
