Missing Death Rattle[edit]

It occurred to me today that Coppermind is missing a Death Rattle. In Words of Radiance I-14 (Taravangian in Vedenar) we see Valam mutter one: "So the night will reign, for the choice of honor is life . . ." This page currently doesn't list all of the Death Rattles. The TWoK Epigraphs page has MOST of them, but this is kind of an oddball that doesn't belong there. I guess we might also be missing the one by... who was it, Maps? Could maybe work any oddballs into this article, but seems like it might be good to list all of the epigraphs on this page, separate of the TWoK epigraphs. Or put them on a subpage. Don't have time to toy with it right now, but I figured I'd at least make a note of it somewhere. --Jofwu (talk) 16:50, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

Noting for reference that there is the Death Rattle/list subpage, which looks like it does have the ones from Valam and Maps under the Unknown Meanings section. --Stargazer (talk) 19:15, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

They break the land itself[edit]

I question the interpretation given for this Death Rattle:

"They break the land itself! They want it, but in their rage they will destroy it. Like the jealous man burns his rich things rather than let them be taken by his enemies! They come!"

This is interpreted as referring to the Fused, and the citation refers to a vision of a past Desolation. However, I think it could refer to a future invasion of Roshar, or part of Roshar, by Surgebinders or Fused using the Surge of Destruction. Electrum2B (talk) 15:33, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

I agree, this Death Rattle is more ambiguous than this claim, and though this (and the death rattle/list subpage) is kind of a mess of improper speculation, certainly I do not think Death Rattle is so definitive. I've removed it from "known" Death Rattles and I put it on the unknown ones, adjusting wording appropriately I think. -- Chaos2651 (talk) 08:13, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
